Position: Advertising Manager
Initially
worked with the Chamber of Commerce organizing an e-business seminar. Rejoined
in June 2002 to generate revenue for the Information Age project through
securing sponsorship and advertising income from local and national business’s
for the Castlebar.ie website. Also involved in formulating promotional concepts
for attraction of additional visitors and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Investigated the feasibility of repositioning an innovative chauffeur service, based on-site, at licensed premises in Dublin and formulated marketing strategies for targeting publicans and the general public. This process involved initial cold calling and subsequent meetings with publicans. Organising a publicity and media marketing campaign for re launch of the service. Evaluation and utilisation of an existing customer database and designing publicity and marketing literature.

as main liaison between hotel and local community for promotion of hotel
facilities, which involved extensive dealing with all other local tourism
interests, accommodation providers (from hostels to 5 star hotels), tour groups,
tourism information, transport providers, the local media, tour guides, sports
and special interest groups, entertainment venues and suppliers, tourists and
the general public to most effectively promote the organisations facilities
including accommodation, leisure facilities, restaurants, entertainment, tourist
information, guided tours and business facilities.
* Managed the organisations town centre tourism information booth.
* Promoted accommodation and holiday breaks nationwide by conception and
utilization of mail shots, sales calls and advertising campaigns on print media
and radio.
* Worked with a consultant to revamp company website and create a new on-line
presence and booking system for the hotel.
* Carried out comparative market research of other facilities in Ireland.

an Auto Rental Agency operating out of 5 locations in Ireland including two
international Airports. Promoted service locally and to an extensive tourist
